Fèis Mhoireibh is a weekend teaching festival of traditional Gaelic music, song and dance for young people in Moray. The weekend includes daytime classes from 9:30 – 4:00pm on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October 2017. The weekend concludes with a tutor and participants concert in Gordonstoun School.

The Fèis encourages young people aged 8-18 years to take an active part in enjoying the music,song, dance and sport of the Highlands.

Tuition in the following classes will be offered this year.

  • Accordion
  • Gaelic Singing
  • Clarsach
  • Tin Whistle
  • Keyboard
  • Bagpipes (level 3&4 only)
  • Chanter
  • Art & Storytelling
  • Percussion
  • Guitar

For reasons of hygiene, each child must have their own chanter or tin whistle for the event. Chanters can be bought on the day at a cost of £10 and Whistles ‘D’ at a cost of £5.

Lunches will not be provided & all participants should bring a packed lunch.
Although some instruments will be available for Feis participants, please bring your own (labeled) instruments if possible.
